The Forgotten ones
Our Forgotten Americans
Portraits of some of the men and women who come to the Sunday Friendship Breakfast for a meal. Located in the Mathewson Street United Methodist Church, in Providence, Rhode Island, this free meal feeds over 800 men, women, and children each month. Since this is a time when most of the money and opportunities flow to the wealthiest among us, I hope these portraits will help us remember the poor. Many of the folks pictured here have been left behind. The are our forgotten Americans.

My best friend has been arrested.
Kerri is lost and alone without her best friend, Marc. She began to cry as she told me he was taken away four days ago. Now she is alone and on her own, living out of her truck.. She is unsure when he will be released.
